About Me

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in human development and social policy at Northwestern University.  Before joining the Northwestern community to pursue my Ph.D., I served as an analyst and Presidential Management Fellow in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). At HHS, I worked on program policy issues related  to the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Foster Care, Adoption Assistance, Child Support, Child Care Development Fund, and Social Services Block Grant programs. I earned my Master of Public Policy and Bachelor of Arts (American Politics and African American Studies) from the University of Virginia (wahoowa!).
